Update....

My job at American Girl is almost done for the season. American Girl is an amazing place to work for. They do so much for the seasonal employees. They provide lots of food and even Christmas presents (toys, doll clothes, doll accessories)

I haven't had much time to stamp these past few weeks, however I ended up making 66 snowmen for everyone.

My oldest daughter is graduating from high school this next summer and I have picked out the graduation invites to make. So that and with Kelli's birthday, Valentines, St. Patrick's Day coming up, I will be busy.

The weather this Christmas week is suppose to be nasty. So our plans have been changed because of the weather.

Well off to work, which maybe my last day. Hope everyone has a great Christmas.

Take care,

Melanie

We found out yesterday that Stephanie has a major allergy to shrimp/crab/lobster. So now she will be carrying a epipen in case something happens.

Yesterday, my brother had a heart attack. I hope he is doing o.k.

Today I have to take my sister to her physcial therapy appointment and maybe going to see my brother. Kelli and I have our first girl scout meeting tonight.

Surprise....

On Friday, I surprised Mark's daughter, Karly with the spiders I made for her class. I hope her friends enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed making them. It was good to see Karly at school. Karly is such a sweet little girl.
Next week, Kelli's class will get to enjoy the spiders.....
On Friday night, met up with the girls from M&I and enjoyed dinner and drinks with them.
Saturday was a busy day working on the lawn, mowing it for one last time before winter. I wish all the leaves on the trees would fall, so I can take care of that too.
Next week a busy week working on projects, going to doctor's appointments with my daughter and my sister and a job interview...
Ordered new draperies for my living room. I can't wait until they come in.

The pumpkin patch..

On Thursday, Kelli and I went with her class to the pumpkin patch. We had a great time spite the rainy and cold weather.

Worked on my Christmas cards some, while up north, while Mark went fishing.
Now back at home, we have been busy looking at draperies for my living room, fixing the garage door opener and raking leaves.
On Thursday, I am going with my daughter, Kelli to the pumpkin patch.
I have a job interview next week at American Girl, my MATC class will start soon.
Everyone take care and I will post soon.

Working on Halloween treats....

I found this little spider on Splitcoasters and thought it would be cute to make for my daughter's class. Very simple to make.

My sister...

Yesterday while my sister was visiting my other sister in Texas, she had a stroke. My sister is only 50 years old. They managed to get her the medical help within the 3 hour window. So far things are looking good for her but she is not out of the woods yet.

Happy Halloween

I made this cute Halloween card using my Big Kick machine (the spiderweb) and my Cricut Expressions (the spider).

Lots of changes.....

Well after applying for several jobs, I have decided to enroll in a computer class to get my career skills up to date with the ever growing job market. So I am looking for a part-time gig to get me through until Christmas.

Kids are doing well in school, especially Kelli, who loves school.

I have been able to get a few things done around the house, going to do some painting outside this fall, planning on cutting down a tree outside and work on one of the bathrooms.

I have planned on making Christmas gifts for Christmas and when I have some done, I sure will post them here.

Off to a doctor's appointment for today.

Take Care,

Melanie

A new challenge in my life...

My baby will finally be going to school this fall. I took the last 5 years to be home with her. Delivering newspapers very early in the morning, 7 days a week. I finally got my life back, since I was done with delivering newspapers.. My part-time job has ended as of yesterday. I have done a few things around my house to make it a better place. Now its time to move on to find a full-time job.
I am looking forward to finding a new job, a new challenge, getting back into the accounting field.

Had my pre-op doctor's visit today. I guess my surgery is still on.. The only bad thing about all of this is that on Monday I get to start giving myself shots twice a day in the stomach. But it will be all worth it.

I will be glad when this is all over and I am on the road to recovery.

Our vacation

On Thursday, we drove to Six Flags and enjoyed the day there. The older girls got to see Jesse McCartney in concert.
On Friday, we drove 3 hours up north to Legend Lake. Mark's parents live on the lake. We went fishing, boating, tubing, and swimming. We had a great time. Kelli loved collecting as she calls it sea shells by the sea shore or the pond or lake....

Organizing.....

Sorry I haven't posted, but these past few days, I have been organizing my stamping area.
My stamping area is one part of my basement, didn't care for the space, but today, I stamped my walls and now I really like it. Will share pictures of it later.
My boyfriend, Mark altered this cabinet for me for my spools of ribbon. It helps me keep my ribbon organized.

A new creation

I thought this turned out cute. Nothing exciting. LOL

Been MIA (missing in action)

Well the past two weeks have been crazy with doctor's appointments and such. Waiting until Wednesday to see the doctor again and discuss my options with the cyst on my ovary.

I actually finished two projects this morning! Yippee!! Two things off my to-do list.

Kelli, my 5 year old is done with school. Kelli has a busy summer ahead of her. She has summer school, vacation bible school, swimming lessons, and T-Ball.

The other two girls have this week left of school. They are ready for summer break. We are planning our vacation in July. Kids are excited about going.

Take care,

Melanie

Hopefully I will get back to stampin like I want to be...

Unbelievable the things happening to me in the past two weeks. On Thursday night, I had back pain so bad that I called the clinic and they told me to go to the hospital. (Since I have had a blood clot in my leg they wanted me checked out) After spending from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m at the hospital, I ended up finding out that I have a cyst on my ovary the size a tennis ball. So this next week, I have to have an ultrasound to see what is going on with that, plus my other blood tests for the blood clot. Not fun...

On the road to recovery!!

Found out today I am not allowed to work for the rest of the week. What a bummer!!! My weekend plans may be cancelled too... I feel bad for Mark for he won't get to see his parents if we can't go. I know he feels guilty because of all of this.

Its still painful to walk, I guess this was a pretty big blood clot in my leg. I have to go for blood tests daily and still have the daily shots. This is so not fun...

I don't think my children realize how serious this could have been. They go on just like nothing has happened. This upsets me so much. They think that mom can still do everything she did before. Well I can't right now....

Well everyone take care.

Melanie

Tuesday Morning

Hello everyone, looks like its going to be nice day here is Wisconsin today. I am taking a couple days away from posting to recoup after my short hospital stay this past weekend. Doctors found a blood clot in my leg over the weekend and decided to put me in the hospital as a precautionary measure. I can barely walk at the moment and will have lots of doctors appts coming up. So everyone take care and will be back up and running (i hope) by next week.

My last project for today! This colleage is made for Mark's parents. It was of their visit with their granddaughter, Karly, who they haven't seen in two years. I hope they like it!!!

On a roll.......

Other cards I have made today!

On the top two cards, if you take a closer look, there is embossing. The picture doesn't show it very well.
